I will never forget the day I came home from school and my father found a golf club in my room. His reaction to this news, in the spirit of true masculinity, was to tell me that he would buy me a golf club right then and there. Of course I didn’t even play anything that day. What happened next was an adventure in itself, and I was quite proud of myself at the time, but only for having the foresight to plan my own golf lessons.
